About
I’m Renaud, a poor white boy lost in a foreign world. I’ve been living in Asia since 1996, eking out a living working in project planning, E&M project management and IT administration to end up embracing my true love again, software development.
I’m a regular sort of guy. A bit shy, not very outgoing, quite introvert, but I’ve got a fairly wild side, although propriety forbids me from ever mentioning it in these pages…
I’m a bright, defined as someone with a naturalistic world-view. I have faith but not of the religious kind. I don’t believe in the supernatural because we live in a world ruled by natural laws. The fact that we don’t know everything isn’t proof of the existence of fairies or the reality of spoon-benders, it’s just proof that we need to carry on searching and strive to understand more.
Characteristics:
- fiercely independent
- slightly misanthropist
- humanist
- against all forms of authority
Defining, all-encompassing, self-quotes:
- Respect is deserved, not forced.
- Pride only applies to what you achieve, not what you are.
- It’s fine not to know, as long as you don’t stop there.

“I can live with doubt and uncertainty and not knowing. I think it is much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers that might be wrong.”
–Richard Feynman*
